In this scene taken from Final Cut Pro X, we see Brad sitting at his desk working on his miniature fusion reactor science project with his dad. He summons his dad by thinking the word Maple. He can telepathically think the word, but if somebody near him says it then he will automatically think it. Therefore, sometimes his dad, Rex, appears when he is not intending to call him.

This scene is interesting because the background is modeled in SketchUp whereas the characters were made in Character Animator. The teleporter beam of light was made in Photoshop but then animated with the warp tool in Animate. Brad’s inverted hand will be fixed in the next run through of the scene.
