2023-3-23 Snapshot Brad’s Room

Here we have Brad sitting on the edge of his bed in his bedroom at his Earth mom’s house. The scene is assembled in Final Cut Pro X, where Brad is an exported alpha channel movie from Character Animator and the house is made in SketchUp but rendered with V-Ray.

Interesting factoid, the architectural model used here is actually part of a real estate development project that was built and completed in 2017. The designer was this animated series creator and animator, yours truly, and the 3D model was instrumental in the design of a fairly intricate multifamily property.

In this scene, we will see Brad jump off his bed and walk across the room from a different angle. Then he will summon his dad, Rex the gray alien, to help him with the technology for a science project he’s working on. Brad just needs to think “Maple” and Rex appears, as described in the title sequence video for the series.

The three images on the wall are all generated using Open AI’s Dall-E, where the one on the right utilized their “surprise me” feature. Quite interesting that it happened to choose a UFO scene. That frame has a button at the bottom and there will be times in which Brad will push the button to change the image to another randomly generated artificial intelligence graphic.
