Here’s a classroom view showing the full extents of it. Mabel has been called up to the front to talk about energy efficiency, while Brad and Tony sit at the lab table at the back of the room near the teacher’s desk. The three students in the middle are generated with artificial intelligence and have transparency as a representation of the fleeting nature of the kids that shared a classroom with us but are distant memories. They remain motionless even as the other characters move about.

Rex is floating in the room because Myriam said Mabel’s name when her hand was raised and, because it sounds like “maple,” Brad thought “maple” which made Rex suddenly appear as part of the emergency measure in case Brad is in a bind. Tony is just staring off into space.
