Interesting distortion effect here in Final Cut Pro X. Pax has skewered Rex with a sword, which Rex complains about because he called for a fencing room. In retaliation for Pax’s sword draw, Rex pulls out a battle axe and charges Pax.

Pax merely realigns the sword and Rex runs right through it. Pixel Studios blood generator but in blue rather than red adds to the moment, but the stock underwater effect in FCPX allows for the appearance of disintegration at the end of the scene, by adjusting the settings from the beginning to end of the final scene frames.

In the next scene, we will see Rex on his ship, having been ejected from the hologarden as a result of the virtual fatal injury, and Pax will be in a beam of light on a platform on Rex’s ship.
